- Operating system Windows 7 or Windows Vista
- Speech-to-text feature is not supported by Windows XP!
Introductions
- Goal: Transcribe authentic voice message to text.
- Timing: After the fact transcription.
- Dictate: Not a dictate feature.
- Quality: Only on exceptions will 90% or more of the voice message be transcribed correctly.
- Correction: The transcription results can be corrected.
- Recipient: Receives voice message and text.
- Improvements: Quality of the transcription can be influenced positively. See below.
How to improve the quality of the speech recognition:
- Use a high quality microphone.
- Articulate clearly.
- Speak slowly.
- No ambient noise.
- No 'ohhhs' and 'Ahhs'.
- Adjust system volume anpassen.
Steps
- Press 'REC' to record a voice message.
- Click on 'Stop' to end recording.
- Chose 'Speech to text' to start transcription
- Correct text. Then
- Press 'Save transcription'.
- Chose 'Letter' and sende. Comment: The text will be copied ot the email body. The time data (seconds) will be removed.
For your information:
- Double-click on the text to start the playback from the chosen line. The time data is needed since it marks the point where the playback will start.
- You can also transcribe received SAM voice messages.
- A symbol in the middle of the SAM-recorder will appear to show that the message has been transcribed.
